Thanksgiving doesn’t seem to be slowing the Epic Games Store down. Every Thursday, the Epic Games Store releases its latest batch of free games and reveals the ones for the coming week. What this means is fans can claim this week’s EGS free games (theHunter: Call of the Wild and Antstream Epic Welcome Pack) and now know what’s next.

Once these titles leave the Epic Games Store on December 2, they will be replaced by Dead by Daylight and While True: Learn (). These two titles will be available from December 2 through December 9, technically making them the first free games for the new month. Of course, theHunter: Call of the Wild and Antstream’s Epic Welcome Pack could still be claimed in December, but they are not the first new ones for December at that point.

Dead by Daylight may be a pretty good get on the Epic Games Store. It’s a popular asymmetrical multiplayer game featuring licensed characters and villains to play as, including high-profile killers like Ghost Face, Resident Evil’s Nemesis, Hellraiser’s Pinhead, and many more. The game is currently on its sixth year of support, after all, and up to chapter 21.5 in terms of post-launch content (Chapter 22 is expected soon). If players have considered it before, now’s a good time to jump in, especially with a winter event expected from December 9 to December 23.

On the other hand, While True: Learn () is almost certainly more unknown. The majority of reviews for this game trend positively though, with While True: Lean () being a puzzle simulation game about neural networks, big data, AI, and a cat (because everyone loves cat games). It’s not really designed for education, but many have also praised its education components. Overall, the player takes on the role of a coder who, after learning their cat is a great coder but obviously bad at speaking the human language, sets out to build a cat-to-human speech recognition program.

Developer describes this game as for people who want to learn more about machine learning, programming, coding and coding concepts, solving puzzles, keeping their brain busy, improving problem-solving skills, and last but not least, people who love cats.

Overall, Epic Games Store users are getting a solid hunting simulation and classic arcade hub this week, with an asymmetrical horror-based multiplayer game and technical puzzle game next week. Overall, it seems like Epic Games Store is ensuring it’ll end the year strong, but it remains to be seen what else December holds for EGS.
